HEROINE by Lisolette Watkins. What I love about her work is the way she describes it, how they have such personality and such character. She says that she does this not by just drawing them, but by getting to know them, down to every last detail. Even to their pin numbers and what they like to eat so she can draw them to suit this idea. Brilliant way of thinking, and it works too.

i know this isn't the most relevant thing to what im looking at but I juast loved the strong lines against the thinner ones.

I have decided that I am going to be creating a book based on the idea of a 'social documentary' to do this I am going to be setting myself tasks and tight deadlines to work to. I am going to begin by recording a journey everyday that takes plae in my life for 30 minutes everyday. I will be travelling in a new direction everyday to do so. My aim is to take 10 photos minimum a day to record. Eventually, once I have decided what to ask people in the street I will also begin collecting images of people and recording the outcomes. I am still working on this at the moment though. It'll follow shortly after!

ohh I think im going to have to buy this one..
